What do I need to enjoy FREE Digital OTA (Over The Air) HDTV?
NEWER TV - Most newer brand name HDTV's already have an ATSC tuner (Also called a QAM tuner) which enables you to receive UHF and FREE Digital OTA HDTV broadcasts. The resultant TV broadcast signal has little or no compression and the picture quality is better than satellite or cable. As we keep saying...”The picture quality will amaze you”!
OLDER TV - If your TV is an older model non-HD TV, without an ATSC tuner you will not be able to receive UHF Digital broadcasts and be limited to VHF OTA broadcasts. By utilizing one of our Digital Converter Boxes (Tuners) attached to your older model non-HD TV you will be able to receive Digital UHF broadcasts signals resulting in a clear quality TV picture but it will NOT be in HD (High Definition) as your older model non-HD TV is unable to support HD.
HD ANTENNA - You will need an HD Antenna specifically matched to your location characteristics. You may require a simple indoor antenna or one of the many quality outdoor antennas we provide. It is important to understand that proper antenna selection is critical. NOT ALL ANTENNAS ARE THE SAME as some digital signals can even be obtained using a simple piece of wire. To obtain the best reception and picture quality relative to your specific location conditions proper antenna selection and positioning is critical.
